I came to Whidbey Island because of Dr. Milton Steele’s
reputation and commitment to NUCCA. He made regular visits to
Palmer College
of Chiropractic each year to continue educating chiropractic students
in NUCCA. This method is rare and difficult to master, yet rewarding
for both the doctor and the patients. In addition, the learning
experience in NUCCA at school is limited and ending my school career
here as an intern has been exceptional for my development. I saw
a realistic picture of how this work is put into practice, and
it has solidified my philosophy as an upper cervical chiropractor.
I have a mentor, to be challenged by, and to challenge back (of
course!) as my understanding grows. I feel advantaged that this
office has both Dr. Milton and Dr. Nate because, though similar,
I learn different things from each doctor. From a personal standpoint,
Whidbey Island was a true pleasure. I couldn’t imagine a
better place to intern. The people are friendly and peaceful. The
views are spectacular, and it is conducive to a stress-free lifestyle,
a very important element of a chiropractic lifestyle. I’d
like to thank the Steele’s for a wonderful experience. Tania Siqueira
As a student in chiropractic college, you learn the knowledge
and skills necessary to become a chiropractor. An internship,
such
as the one offered at Peak Performance Chiropractic Centers, gives
the student a head start experiencing what it is like to work as
a chiropractor before walking across the stage at graduation. My experience interning at Peak Performance Chiropractic has
been a wonderful fulfilling experience. I gained invaluable insight
into running a chiropractic practice from patient education to
marketing activities, patient billing to interacting with staff.
My primary reason for choosing Peak Performance Chiropractic
to do my internship was my interest in the NUCCA technique. Dr.
Milton
Steele and Dr. Nate Steele are well-known for their expertise
in this technique. Since I have been here, their wealth of knowledge
has been a resource for improving my understanding and technical
skill in the NUCCA work. Seeing the results and patient satisfaction
in this office reaffirms my commitment to practice NUCCA and
my
belief that it is the best, if not the only, way to effectively
adjust the spine.
Since I have been here, I gained hands-on experience taking
NUCCA films, analyzing films, doing leg checks, and Anatometer/SEMG
scans as well as encountering the challenges of difficult patient
cases
and beginning the inductive reasoning process involved in the
post-correction X-ray analysis. Furthermore, I have had an opportunity
to interact
with patients and even create my own health care class!
I am so grateful for having an opportunity to do my internship
at Peak Performance Chiropractic. I would like to thank the Steele’s
and Shantina for making this such a great experience. Living on
the beautiful Whidbey Island terrain with the ocean right outside
my door was just an added bonus to interning here as well.
